Awoken Me

Its been a while,
but i was awake today
when the sun and moon were out
barely getting a chance to greet each other.
The sky kept changing to lighter
from one colour to the next
every shade and hue one could think of.
its been too long since i was awake
before the birds woke
or the trees shook off their drowse.
And the world turns lighter still
till i need no more light from the inside
everything reflecting the slightest glow.
i know im the only one awake
its been a while
and in this second its only me
me and the unadulterated reality.
