i feel what these clocks are saying... i feel what the painter is feeling... i feel the essence of it at the least... and then of course come my own interpretations... that is after all what art is for... understanding a meaning so deep that no matter who you are you can find something to relate to in your own life... give it a meaning that makes your heart stir...
Here is what it means to me... or reminds me of.... the ants feasting on the shut clock... all those people who insist on feeding their pride and glory on your past mistakes... your past in general... who flaunt what you did and what they didnt... all those little stupid things that could so easily be put behind you... and even away from the ants... maybe in more recent times.. there is still that one fly... picking on you... buzzing... unstoppable... the noise... just going round and round your ears making you more and more uncomfortable... and it knows you cant react and squash it the way you really want to!!! it makes you hold all that anger in until you just burst.... the lack of importance it seems to give itself.... how our lovers leave us so easily... giving our past exactly that little importance.... the melting of the time.. ur history... the fluidity of it... the heat that made it that way... the boiling temperatures that did it... leaving only you... in that state... half spilt over the side of an edge... hanging off a dead tree... the state of desolation... life of those memories... and life of now... something that continues... unchangable emptiness.... hmmm.... thats what my life feels like... melting clocks....

hmmm...havent we all been there?! havent we all been down dreary lane at least once in our lives? havent we all questioned our seemingly useless existence at some point or the other? and why wud we do tat? why cant we jus be happy instead of letting the past get ahold of us? and the answer A is within...we dun wanna let go and we allow the same past tat shuda been shut out long ago to hold sway oer the proceedings of today...we allow the ants in, we allow them to gnaw away at our hearts, our minds...take over our senses! we bring on misery ..misery tat which is not ours..! and yes its easy for em...so y cant the same apply to us as well??? think abt it!
Melting clocks..really powerful expression...!
But,ya...this 'ants' and 'flies' are too insignificant an insects to pull u down...they dont deserve any of your energies...
And since melting, broken, frozen clocks are also correct twice a day..u may have couple of moments when things feel lil better...hopeful...may be an indication of better times to come...
Things never remain static...times change..seasons change..d rain cools down d boiling temperatures..drowns all d ants...
Fills up empty spaces...gives new life..new memories...
Have belief in the cycle of change and you will soon have the 'Monalisa' smiling in your blog instead of 'the melting clocks' ;-)
But sometimes all this reassuring words are of no help...U js feel like no 1 understands your pain..your problem..what you goin through..! Obvious solutions seem impossible...
And may b,all this flaws and foibles makes us human..perfection is d domain of computers..!
Love wouldnt have been love without heartbreaks...Friends wouldnt have been friends without those blood sucking 'ants'...
Shed a tear(ok fine,u cn shed loads of them;) on a heartbreak...let out ur anger(obv witout ne guns n knives ;)
But @ d end of d day, jus hang in der and dts an achievement in itself !
This picture reminds me of in "one flew over the cuckoo's nest" where Chief, due to his paranoia, thinks the clocks are lying to him and actually more or less time has passed than what the clocks are showing. It seems to be the same idea here, that time can be moulded and so clocks do not really tell the time, for time is not measured by the ticking of a hand.
